Electronics have become an integral part of our lives: they connect us with other people, make our everyday lives easier and more convenient and will continue to shape our lives more and more in the future. The production of future-proof electronics is in good hands with us.

Surface Mounted Technology (SMT) is the focus of our production. Thanks to our production lines with stencil printers, pick-and-place machines and reflow soldering systems, we are able to assemble several million components a day and therefore medium and large batch sizes every year. Our high level of flexibility enables us to assemble a wide range of components with the 01005 design up to an edge length of 200 x 125mm (entire SMD spectrum). With an accuracy of 50µm at 3σ.

Our manufacturing services are supplemented by Through Hole Technology (THT) and include: conventional assembly, cable assembly, production of inductive components and module assembly through to product labeling and packaging of the modules and systems in accordance with the relevant regulations.

Our production techniques offer you many advantages: Plättner Elektronik GmbH uses soldering under nitrogen. With the publication of Directives 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and 2002/95/EC on the restriction of the use of chemical elements such as lead, cadium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, mercury and PBDE, the use of these elements is prohibited. This means that these elements may no longer be used as components of electronic devices or assemblies. The use of nitrogen in the soldering process, whether wave, reflow or selective soldering, improves the soldering result in many cases, as nitrogen is a better heat conductor than air. This means that lower process temperatures can be used and the stress on the assemblies and components is reduced. Wave soldering in an inert gas atmosphere also achieves a significant reduction in oxidation and thus a reduction in scratch formation.

The addition of nitrogen changes the surface tension and improves the flow properties of the solder. This reduces bridging and optimizes the soldering quality. We pay particular attention to routine testing. Customer and product-specific testing techniques such as function tests (FCT), flying probe tests (FPT), high voltage tests (HV Test) and optical inspection equipment (AOI) are used.

Assembling

Whether single components, modules or systems – Plättner Elektronik produces everything customized as you request it. If there are no manufacturing and test specification available we can work them out for you to and guarantee high quality. We also would be pleased do the wrapping of the products for you up to your standards.

Cable termination

We gladly terminate for our customers single strands, cable harnesses, interface cable, wires for computers and communication or flat cable for soldering -, cutting - , crimp- and clamping technique. We are able to cut out and crosscut the wires and braid wires semiautomatic with our production machines.

Additionally we offer to equip the requested manufacture with electronic and mechanical components. We also like to undertake the task of production of fully wired cables and cable harnesses with various plugs, contacts or ferrules.

Inductive components

Our offers include the single production and automatic production of mid-size quantities in the area of premium coiled wire products. Thereby our range reaches from single coils, transformers, transducers and throttles to power transformers and core coils. Our strength lies in high quality, reliability while being highly flexible and having short delivering periods.

Whether big or small coils, from single piece to serial production – we are able to wind coils lascustomers request: single, bifilar or trifilar at a wire size from 0,01 mm to 4mm.

In-System Programming (ISP)

The In-System Programming (ISP) allows to program a logic circuit directly in the application system. For this usually a simple serial connection is used. The advantage of the in-system programming is that the program circuit no longer has to be removed from the target system. It will be charged less mechanically and the entire programming process is faster.

Material purchasing

When it comes to purchasing material you can also rely world wide on our know-how. For producing an efficient product purchasing is one of the key factors. We work collaboratively with manufacturers and distributers. And pay attention to the quality of the material, perfect processing and an ideal cost-performance ratio . We can look back on 20 years of good and lose collaboration with suppliers in Germany and abroad.
